Who is involved?

Hi, my name is Bevan - and I'm the guy behind Niche Software.

Yep, there's just me.

Unlike many MicroISV (one person) companies, I'm not hiding behind a flashy website, pretending that there are hundreds of willing minions standing by, eager and willing to meet your every need.

Instead, I'm offering some simple values to give you some idea who you're dealing with.

Professionalism

This covers some big issues (like only releasing something when it's ready for primetime use) and some smaller issues as well (like actually replying to the email you send).

Helpfulness

This means that I'll do my best to help out get the most out of my applications and other resources, even the free ones.

Honesty

I won't promise you a bug fix, a new release, or a blog post without actualy intending to deliver.

Of course, I'm only human - and there is only one of me. Please keep this reality in mind to moderate your expectations.

For How Long?

I've been providing IT related professional services as Niche Software since 1995.

These services have involved a whole range of different areas, including PC installation (both software and hardware), website design, database management, bespoke software development, virus cleaning, onsite support, user interaction design, systems architecture and design, peer review services and more.

Of course, no one man can be expert in everything - my first passion is software development: Building tools that help people solve problems. The other activities mostly serve to support this core.
