[img_assist|nid=565|title=|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=128|height=128]A few weeks ago I discovered my daughter, Madeline, was having some trouble with learning her spelling words at school.
In previous years, she was given a ten words to learn at the start of the week, and tested on those ten words at the end of the week. This year, I guess because she's older, she's been given a list of one hundred words to learn for the term, and each week she's tested on ten words at random.
When I learnt that she was having some problems, first I did what any self respecting parent would do - I spent time with her helping her practice drills. Second, I did what any self respecting geek would do - I wrote a piece of software to help her out.
WordTutor is the result of that work, a simple full screen Metro style application for spelling practice drills. The current version is in private beta (contact me for details), with a public beta coming soon.
